I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois and a Licensed Professional Counselor- Mental Health Service Provider in Tennessee.
I have 9 years of experience in the mental health field; including: community mental health, crisis work, group and private practice. I have spent the majority of my career working with individuals experiencing and healing from various types of trauma. Human beings are resilient and trauma can be the catalyst for major transformation and growth.
I am a combat Veteran and since my discharge in 2013, I have worked extensively with military members and their families. through individual, group work and volunteer service to the community. I am well versed in Military/First Responder culture and truly understand the unique challenges that come with a life of service to our country.
My Approach
My approach to therapy is grounded in psychodynamic theory but is multimodal and unique to each client’s needs. I take a more direct but supportive approach. I believe the therapeutic alliance is the most important part of healing. I will work with you to improve your mind, body, and spirit to live your most authentic and meaningful life.
I am Experienced with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Grief Counseling, Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Attachment Theory, and more.
